Charles Booth Centre Community Grants 2023

The Charles Booth Centre was created as a result of the generosity, philanthropy and Community mindedness of our founder, Charles Booth way back in 1911 when the Centre was originally bequeathed to the Communities here for their benefit. Alongside the Parents Association of the former Grace Dieu School, we are delighted to be able to offer 4 grants to the local community to help go a small way to improve the lives of our residents and the Community we share.

We have 4 grants, each of £250 to be given each year and are available to members of our Community to apply for with the Application and the accompanying Guidance notes.

Each grant is slightly different in aim, covering:

  • Improving our Community

  • Children of Thringstone

  • History, Art & Heritage; and

  • Education

Details of each of the grants is set out in the Guidance Notes. We will try where possible to make a single award, although a grant could be split. All grants are awarded at the sole discretion of the Trustees of the Charles Booth Centre.

Applications by completed Application form only, emailed to hello@charlesboothcentre.org.uk the Application window is open from 1-30 April 2023 and Grants will be awarded by the end of May. There are conditions attached to the grants, so please read the Guidance and any accompanying emails carefully.

Good luck and let's all keep making our Village a brighter place to live!
