Thringstone Pantomine & Drama Society
Thringstone Pantomime & Drama Society are a ‘not for profit’ amateur dramatics society who have been performing at the Community Centre since 1975. We provide entertainment to the local community and, at the same time, give an outlet for local talent. The majority of our members live within the local area and range from age 10 up to 86.
We are proud to make charitable donations to worthy causes. During each show the front-of-house team runs a raffle for various local charities, and many thousands of pounds have been donated in this way over the years.
In 2012 we were delighted to win the Lord Lieutenant’s Jubilee Award for community service as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Our main aims as a company are to:-
-
Produce shows of a high quality that our members will be proud of and that our audiences will enjoy.
-
Encourage and inspire new members to join the society in any capacity.
-
Give all members an opportunity to showcase their talent.
-
Make charitable donations to worthy causes.
-
Live up to our motto “Loud and Proud”.
